Acosta claims after securing his first podium finish

Pedro Acosta secured his first podium finish of the MotoGP season yesterday, taking second in the sprint race at the Brno circuit.

The Spaniard followed up with another podium finish today, securing third place in the Czech Grand Prix.

This double podium comes just before the MotoGP summer break and caps off a successful weekend for Acosta.

What Acosta said

"This double podium is definitely important. The last time I was on the podium was in Thailand last year.

"It's been a long journey to get back here. You only have to look at how much we struggled at the start of the season and see all the team members now.

"I want to thank them because I haven't been easy to deal with when things weren't going well.

"I want to thank everyone on the team, my crew, and everyone who supports me every day," said Acosta, as reported by Sportal.
