Harambee Stars midfielder Timothy Ouma played 90 minutes for a second straight game as his club Lech Poznan secured a 1-0 league win on Sunday.

The Kenyan international had a fruitful afternoon at the heart of midfield for the Polish champions as he ensured his team kept a clean sheet as they returned to winning ways with an away victory to GKS Katowice.

Ouma was deployed in a two-man midfield alongside Polish Antoni Kozubal and was the box-to-box midfielder who helped make runs forward while also dropping deep out of possession to help out with defensive duties.

He had a Flashcore rating of 7.3, having managed 72 touches, one in the opposition box and one shot on target. Ouma had an 83 per cent pass accuracy after 48 of his 58 passes found their target with 12 of his 14 passes in the final third being accurate.

Defensively, Ouma was involved in nine duels, winning two of his four in the air, and as many out of five on the ground, while he had two interceptions and four clearances.

The Harambee Stars midfielder had an equally commanding display in the Europa Conference League when Lech Poznan started with a 4-1 thrashing of Austrian giants Rapid Vienna on Thursday.

His run of games and improved displays seems to be winning the trust of his coach and he will hope to translate the same into the national team during the upcoming international break.

Ouma had a poor outing with Harambee Stars last month as he struggled in the 3-1 loss to The Gambia but he has gown in confidence which is a boost for coach Benni McCarthy ahead of games against Burundi and Ivory Coast on October 9 and 14 respectively.
