Sky Sports and TalkSPORT journalist, Dan Bardell has suggested that the Nigerian midfielder will move to Everton if key midfielder Onana departs this summer.

“From a financial perspective, it would be good business, signing him on a free transfer. Ndidi is a midfield destroyer. I think if Onana was sold and he came in they could shape the squad better in other positions with the finances and that would be positive business.

'He’s a good player but things have maybe gone a bit stale at Leicester for him. A few years ago everyone wanted him and he’s been part of a team that was consistently in the top six of the Premier League for seasons.

"He’s shown that in the right system, he can be a good player and I could see him suiting Sean Dyche’s set-up,“ Bardell said via Goodison News."
