According to the New York Times, they've tabled a bid of around €53 million to Nottingham Forest for the player this summer.

However, Nuno Espírito Santo's side has rejected the offer, unwilling to sell the Swedish player at this time, especially to a Premier League rival competing for European qualification, as reported by Abola.

The same source indicates that the Magpies are now deciding whether to increase their offer or pursue one of their two other targets: Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo or West Ham's Mohammed Kudus.

Developed at Manchester United, Elanga moved to Forest in 2023 for approximately €17.5 million.
