Transfers: Why Nico Williams MUST listen to Chelsea star ahead of next move

Nico Williams is causing a minor rift in the Spain squad as several players try to convince the Athletic Bilbao man to join their clubs.

Williams has been one of the best players at EURO 2024, and interest in his services has ramped up over the past few weeks.

Chelsea, Barcelona, Arsenal, and even PSG have been credited with an interest, with Chelsea expected to make an approach in the coming weeks.

After it emerged that Barcelona duo Lamine Yamal and Pedri have been trying to recruit Nico, Chelsea's Marc Cucurella has revealed using a similar method.

“I’ve been telling Nico Williams to come to Chelsea, but everything depends on him," the full-back told Catalan daily Sport.

Chelsea missed out on Michael Olise and have a void on the wings which could be filled perfectly by Williams.

The Bilbao man has that x-factor, and a club like Chelsea could be the perfect stage to show his talents, perhaps with less pressure than Barcelona.

Under new boss Enzo Maresca, Williams could thrive alongside Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer.
