Tuchel confident Kane can deal with pressure of winning trophies
Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has backed summer signing Harry Kae to mentally overcome the pressure of expectations at the club.
Kane joins Bayern Munich in search of trophies
Kane joined Bayern Munich, who have won the last 11 Bundesliga titles in a row, from Tottenham, where he was unable to lift a trophy of any kind, despite some incredible personal milestones, and many have questioned whether the England International will be able to adapt mentally to a club where the demand for trophies is far greater than at Spurs.
Despite already missing out on a possible first trophy with the club after Bayern Munich lost the German Super Cup against RB Leipzig in Kane’s debut, Tuchel still believes that the 30-year-old will not struggle to make any adjustments as he has always known pressure.
Tuchel confident Kane can cope
Speaking ahead of Bayern Munich’s opening Bundesliga fixture against Werder Bremen, Tuchel spoke of his confidence in Kane, saying, "This is not the first time in his career that he faces that [pressure to win]. He has learned to translate pressure into performances.
"For over a decade he knows how to handle pressure. I have absolute[ly] no concerns about that."
Kane could make his first start for Bayern Munich on Friday against Werder Bremen, hoping to land his first major trophy with the Bavarian club at the end of the season.
Before joining Bayern Munich, he became Tottenham’s all-time top scorer with 280 goals and was also the player with the most Premier League goals for a single club with 213 strikes for Spurs.
Bayern Munich will hope that he can continue his incredible scoring frequency, which made them pay in excess of £95 million for the England international.
