UCL Final: ‘He forgot to eat fufu’ - Fans blast Karim Adeyemi for missing Dortmund’s golden chance

The German-born Nigerian Adeyemi was in the starting lineup for Dortmund as they faced 14-time Champions League winners Real Madrid in the final.

Dortmund started the game brightly and controlled the first half but failed to convert most of their chances.

Adeyemi was offered a glorious chance to put Dortmund in the lead but failed to convert, with the first half ending in a draw.

Adeyemi’s missed chance was the talking point of the first half, which has caused a lot of comments on social media.

The winger was put through on goal from a delightful pass from Mats Hummels from the defence, leaving him one-on-one with Thibaut Courtois.

Dani Carvajal tried to play him offside, but his run was timed perfectly. He tried to round the goalkeeper and took the ball wide and Madrid players managed to get back and clear the ball away.

Dortmund had the chance to take the lead, but Adeyemi’s failure to be composed in front of goal left the game at 0-0.

Fans went wild on X after seeing the golden chance missed by Adeyemi, with one saying, “He forgot to eat fufu before the game...🤦‍♂️.”Another fan responded, "Adeyemi, why 💔💔?  “

One fan reacted, “He's a disgrace to football."  

Another fan who was shocked at the miss said, “He didn't eat his fufu.”
