Usain Bolt begs for Lookman! Fastest man urges Man United to sign 'pretty good' Super Eagles star
Sprinting legend and lifelong Manchester United fan Usain Bolt has made a bold call for the Red Devils to bolster their squad, naming Atalanta’s Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman as a must-sign player for the upcoming summer transfer window.
In a video shared by BR Football on Instagram, the eight-time Olympic gold medalist didn’t hesitate when asked about his dream signings for United, who are languishing in 14th place in the Premier League after a turbulent season.

“The left winger from Atalanta,” Bolt declared with conviction. “He’s called Lookman. I’ve watched him throughout, he’s pretty good.”
Lookman, 27, has been a standout performer for Atalanta, notably scoring five Champions League goals this season, matching the single-campaign record for Nigerians set by Victor Osimhen and Obafemi Martins.
His dynamic wing play and goal-scoring ability have caught the eye of United and other European giants.
Bolt, whose passion for United is well-documented, also named Chelsea’s Cole Palmer and Sporting Lisbon’s prolific striker Viktor Gyokeres, whom he jokingly admitted he struggles to pronounce, as other targets to revive United’s fortunes.
Gyokeres, currently leading the race for the European Golden Boot with 52 goals, is a familiar name to United’s new manager Rúben Amorim, having played under him at Sporting.
However, despite Bolt’s wishes, Lookman might be the most attainable of the trio, given Gyokeres’ high price tag and Champions League demands, alongside competition for Palmer from rivals like Chelsea.
United’s attacking woes have been stark this season, with the team struggling to find the net consistently in the Premier League.
Despite an unbeaten run in the Europa League, including a 3-0 semi-final first-leg win over Athletic Club, the need for firepower is evident.
Bolt’s endorsement of Lookman aligns with growing sentiment among fans and analysts, with posts on X awash with the Nigerian’s potential to transform United’s flanks.
As United aim to secure Champions League qualification to attract top talent, Bolt’s wishlist—led by the “pretty good” Lookman—offers a glimpse of the ambition needed to restore the Theatre of Dreams to its former glory.
With the transfer window looming, all eyes will be on whether United heed the fastest man’s advice to chase the Nigerian star.
