"I've spent a lot of time on the simulator at the team's base this past week. I'm really looking forward to working with Laurent," the Dutchman said ahead of the race at the classic Spa-Francorchamps circuit, as reported by Sportal.

"Spa has always been one of my favourite tracks. It's an old-school circuit where you have to get everything just right to put together a good lap.

"I love the high-speed corners, the start-finish straight, and how the track flows with the elevation changes, making it a real challenge for drivers," added the four-time world champion.

After 12 of 24 races, Verstappen sits third in the driver's championship with 165 points, 69 points behind leader Oscar Piastri of McLaren.
