Orakpo joins Moffi in Nice
Orakpo has achieved a significant milestone in his fledgling career, signing for the French club OGC Nice at just 18 years old.
The Nigerian impressed mightily during a recent trial with Nice, showcasing his talent and earning a contract. Standing at 1.94 meters tall, the towering striker caught the eye with his physical abilities and prowess in front of goal.
Orakpo's potential convinced Nice's leadership to formally recruit the highly-rated prospect.
Opting for Nice reflects Orakpo's ambition and the club's reputation for developing youth.
"It's an honour to join," Orakpo stated per Nice. "Nice has big ambitions. So do I. I can't wait to get to work and display my qualities."
Nice President Jean-Pierre Rivère expressed delight at securing Orakpo amid competition for his signature. The club will nurture Orakpo's development as he transitions into senior football.
Initially joining Nice's Elite reserve team, Orakpo will be given time and ideal conditions to adapt his game. But the club envisions the talented Nigerian growing into an important first-team player in the coming years.
