The Super Eagles striker made headlines last season, leading Napoli to win their first Scudetto in more than thirty years.

However, Napoli's attempt to win the league title again this year was unsuccessful, having finished the season in 10th position after losing 11 times and winning just 13 of their 37 league games.

Despite Napoli’s bad season, Osimhen was included in the list while his fellow countryman Lookman was absent.

Osimhen made the 23-man list unveiled on the official social media channels of the Italian Serie A on Saturday.

The list, which was released by the official Serie A X account, had several top players from the league.

Osimhen made the list with his impressive numbers despite missing a lot of games through injury and representing Nigerian at AFCON.
