Vipers Claim Eighth Title but Question’s Persist Over League’s Competitiveness

After a late-season wobble that threatened to derail their campaign, Vipers SC summoned a final, decisive performance to defeat a hapless Maroons 3-0 at Wankulukuku, sealing their eighth Ugandan Premier League title.

The victory was made sweeter as their closest rivals, KCCA, were held to a goalless draw by URA at Nakivubo. This result confirmed what had seemed inevitable for months: a championship built on resilience, defensive solidity, and an uncanny ability to grind out results even when not at their best.
