Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has personally reached out to Victor Osimhen to convince the Napoli striker to join the club permanently, according to A Spor commentator Zeki Uzundurukan.

Uzundurukan revealed that Buruk spoke directly with Osimhen over the phone, clearly expressing Galatasaray’s interest.

As quoted by Habersarikirmizi, Uzundurukan stated, “Okan Buruk had a phone conversation with Victor Osimhen and said, ‘We are waiting for you at Galatasaray.’

"It was a very good meeting with the Nigerian."

Osimhen enjoyed a stellar 2024/25 season at Galatasaray, scoring 37 goals and contributing eight assists across all competitions.

While his departure from Napoli is certain, his next destination remains unclear.

The 26-year-old, one of Europe’s most formidable strikers, has seen potential Premier League moves hindered by financial constraints.

Although he rejected three offers from Saudi club Al Hilal, his impressive stint in Turkey could pave the way for a return to Galatasaray.
