'We are with you' — Ighalo sends support to Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes

Fernandes has come under fire after a string of disappointing performances, compounded by consecutive red cards against Tottenham in the Premier League, and FC Porto in the Europa League.

The Portuguese midfielder apologised to fans on Instagram for his recent sub-par performances, and for letting his teammates down.

Ighalo, who played alongside Fernandes at United in 2020, offered words of encouragement.

The Al Wehda striker wrote:

"Form is temporary, class is permanent. We're all with you, my captain."

Ighalo, who is a lifelong fan of Manchester United, made 23 appearances after joining on loan in the 2019-2020 season.

Meanwhile, The Red Devils are in action against Aston Villa in what could be the final game of Erik ten Hag's time in charge, according to reports.
