We want to leave - Rashford, Garnacho, Sancho and two others inform Man United of decision
Rashford spent the latter half of the season on loan at Aston Villa, but the Birmingham club declined to activate his buy-out clause.
The situation is similar for Sancho and Malacia, who were at Chelsea and PSV Eindhoven, respectively. Neither team opted to make the transfers permanent.
Garnacho reportedly clashed with manager Ruben Amorim after the Europa League final defeat, and reports subsequently emerged suggesting he is not in the manager's plans.
Rashford and others give final decision on Man United's future
According to reports from Sportal, the club is aware of the players' positions and the management anticipated this communication.
Old Trafford has therefore granted the five players permission to return later in July, giving them the opportunity to explore their options.
Reports indicate that medical and rehabilitation facilities will remain available to each player should they choose to return and resume training. However, they will not begin pre-season training with the main squad, which is scheduled to commence on Monday, July 7th.
Manager Ruben Amorim wants to avoid unnecessary tension within the main group and has therefore approved this decision. Further highlighting the rift between Manchester United and Marcus Rashford is the reassignment of the number 10 shirt.
Previously worn by Rashford, it was officially announced today that new signing Matheus Cunha will inherit the number.
