The ranking aims to identify the world's top 100 players from the most recent campaign, with 133 individuals participating in the poll, including journalists from international media outlets, former players, and coaches.
Each participant selected their top 10, with 30 points awarded for first place, 25 for second, and 23 for third.
Yamal wins Marca ranking
Yamal won with 3310 points, surpassing Paris Saint-Germain stars Ousmane Dembélé (3100 points) and Vitinha (2732 points), as reported by Sportal.
The Spanish international joins previous MARCA award winners Karim Benzema, Erling Haaland, and Vinícius Júnior.
Last season, the 18-year-old prodigy won three trophies with Barcelona: La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup. He also registered 18 goals and 25 assists in 55 club appearances, while also playing a key role for the Spanish national team.
PSG's Luis Enrique was voted best coach. Two ideal teams were also compiled: one international and one featuring only Spanish players.
Alongside Yamal, Dembélé, and Vitinha, the international team included PSG's Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes, and Fabian Ruiz, Barcelona's Pedri and Raphinha, Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk, and Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappé.
The Spanish team again featured Pedri, Fabian, and Yamal. It also included Joan García for his performances with Espanyol, along with Barcelona's Iñigo Martínez, Pau Cubarsí, and Alejandro Balde.
Villarreal's Álex Baena and Ayoze Pérez also made the cut, as did Dejan Kulusevski (during his time with Tottenham Hotspur - adapted as Bournemouth has been mentioned already), Isco (Betis), and Nico Williams (Athletic Bilbao). Notably, Real Madrid had no representatives in this selection.
