You should wish him well - Super Eagles legend backs Ferdinand on Arnold's comment
Alexander-Arnold rejected a new contract from Liverpool and has agreed to leave the club at the end of the season.
The fullback has been on the radar of Real Madrid and has reportedly agreed to join the Spanish side in the summer.
His decision has led to Liverpool supporters expressing their displeasure at the England international.
Oliseh responds to Arnlold’s potential departure
Oliseh agreed with Ferdinand on social media and stressed the importance of Liverpool fans being thankful.
During an episode of "Rio Presents," Ferdinand encouraged Liverpool supporters to celebrate Alexander-Arnold's accomplishments and move past any resentment they may feel about his departure from the club.
"You should be saying thank you and good luck,” Ferdinand stated. "Trent Alexander-Arnold, you didn’t pay a penny for him. He’s one of your own and he won it all.
"He’s choosing to leave, not for a rival, not for a team in the Premier League, but for the biggest club in the world. You should be saying, ‘I’d love him to stay but well done.”
Following Ferdinand’s comment, Oliseh also backed the former Manchester United player on X.
"Like is often the case, Rio nails it again on the Trent Alexander-Arnold departure rants. The man served you, decides to leave, and you should wish him well!” Oliseh wrote.
