A1 Challenge has started the second round of the season with a bang, securing consecutive victories that have infused the squad with a renewed sense of optimism and determination.

The team's recent triumphs against the Nkumba Lady Marines and Nabisusnsa Girls have provided a much-needed boost to their morale.

These wins have raised team spirit within the camp and given them hope of achieving their objectives.

"The goal for us is to survive relegation and even make it to the playoffs," says A1 Challenge forward Sera Yahweh.

"Since the second round kicked off, our defence has improved, and our chemistry is growing. There is much more to improve on."

Yahweh highlights the positive impact of the recent additions to the team that have provided the squad with a much-needed jolt.

The team has added new pivotal players, Maria Goretti Angole, Okumu Elizabeth, and Vivian Nafuna.

"Their presence has raised the level of competitiveness in the squad, and everyone has to earn their playing time now," she told Pulse Sports.

Head coach Eric Matovu emphasizes the importance of taking one game at a time as they look to build further momentum.

"We need to keep improving with each game as it comes," Matovu explains. "With the hope that we can build the right momentum and get that eighth seed come playoff time."

A1 Challenge enters their next game against the Kampala University Ladies on Saturday with momentum on their side, having won three of their last four games.

They aim to make it a treble of wins to begin the second round, further solidifying their position in the league.

"As the second round progresses, we want to maintain our winning form and continue improving," noted Yahweh.

With their sights set on survival and playoff contention, A1 Challenge looks to build on their recent successes and capitalize on the growing chemistry within the team.
