As A1 Challenge prepares to face the JKL Lady Dolphins in the first game of the 2023 National Basketball quarterfinal playoffs, which is scheduled for Saturday at the YMCA court.

In a delicate position, many had concerns about the 2005 champions, but they now find themselves up against the unstoppable Lady Dolphins, who are determined to secure another championship.

Shooting guard Sera Yaweh underscores the significance of winning the initial game if they aspire to create a monumental upset in recent history.

"Securing victory in tomorrow's match is of utmost importance, as it will infuse us with positive energy and substantial momentum, placing them under pressure,“ Yaweh informed Pulse Sports.

"We have dedicated ourselves to improving our defense, as we appeared disorganized in our previous encounters against them. We must establish proper structures if we wish to have a fighting chance,“ he added.

Adong Jannat is the sole injury concern for the A1 Challenge, and she has been ruled out for an extended period.

Irrespective of the final outcome, the result of the first game will provide both teams with ample food for thought, as game two is set to take place next Saturday.
