As Uganda celebrates its 61st Independence Day, gamers from all corners are eagerly anticipating the inaugural Pulse eSports Independence Day Cup. This debut tournament promises an exhilarating display of skill, thrilling matches, and exciting prizes.

Set to take place at the stylish Rozaho Bristo in Upper Kololo on October 9th, the event offers not only a gaming extravaganza but also an ambiance that perfectly aligns with Uganda’s celebratory Independence Day mood.

“We are set and excited about how far we have come,” Clive Kyazze, Team Lead at Pulse Sports, expressed the excitement about the competition before adding.,

“We have some of the best gamers in the country registered for the competition, so the question is who is the best of the best, and we shall find out on Independence Day.”

The competition will see the champion walk away with a trophy, a gold medal, Shs500,000 in prize money, and an impressive 120 ranking points.

The first runner-up will take home Shs300,000, a shimmering silver medal, and 100 ranking points.

Meanwhile, the two semifinalists will each receive Shs100,000, commendable bronze medals, and 80 ranking points.

For those making it to the round of 16, 40 valuable ranking points are up for grabs, and participants reaching the round of 32 will earn 20 points.

“This is not the last time we are having this competition, so the points earned here are points that players will need for seeding purposes in the coming competitions,” Kyazzed said.

As the sun sets on October 9th, amidst the jubilant Independence Day celebrations, one gamer will emerge as the inaugural champion of the Pulse eSports Independence Day Cup, etching their name in the annals of Uganda’s eSports history.
