Allan Okello sealed one of the most controversial transfers in Ugandan football when he crossed over to Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC.

A graduate and former darling of Vipers' arch-nemesis KCCA FC, it shocked the latter seeing the 23-year-old traverse to Kitende.

While the KCCA fans believe he broke the loyalty, Okello will feel it was a deal he needed to better himself, both as a player and a person.

Meanwhile, netting the playmaker's signature wasn't an easy walk for the Venoms as they were forced to cough exorbitant fees and agreed to lucrative demands.

According to trusted sources, Okello pocketed 125 million shillings as a sign-on fee, which KCCA allegedly couldn't match.

The Uganda Cranes attacking midfielder also requested a car for his daily movements, and the Venoms did not hesitate to adhere.

It was also agreed between the two parties that the club would fund Okello's knee surgery and complete treatment to end the nagging complications that have existed over the recent past.

Reports have also indicated that the youngster will have an apartment fully paid for by the club for his entire stay at Vipers.

All these will be in addition to a mandatory monthly salary and allowances that range from training to winning bonuses.

It should be noted that Okello has had two previous spells at KCCA and another at Algerian outfit Paradou AC.

He is a two-time Uganda Premier League champion who has clinched as many Uganda Cups, as well as a FUFA Super 8 trophy, with KCCA.
