Arsenal are planning a new bid for Moises Caicedo this summer as they look to test Brighton’s resolve for their star player.

In January, the Gunners made an attempt to woo the Ecuadorian to the Emirates Stadium, but Brighton turned down their £70 million bid, keeping Caicedo there until the conclusion of the season.

Caicedo has been a regular starter and has been impressive for Brighton this season, helping them qualify for European football.

Arteta and Edu are currently working on improving the squad after an impressive season in which they challenged for the title and are preparing a new bid for Brighton star Caicedo.

Arsenal renew Caicedo's interest

Moises Caicedo has been on Arsenal's radar since the January transfer window and will renew their interest in signing him this summer.

The Times reports that the Gunners are preparing a new bid for Caicedo as Arteta looks to strengthen his midfield department during the summer transfer window.

Caicedo participated in almost all Premier League matches for Brighton during the 2022–23 season, which saw them finish sixth and earn their first-ever qualification for Europe.

De Zerbi confirmed that Caicedo could leave

Caicedo is most likely to leave the Amex Stadium this summer, according to Roberto De Zerbi, who made the announcement on the last day of the season.

The Italian who made the same statement for Alexis Mac Allister said, "Yes, I think it can be the last game for Alexis and Moises Caicedo.

"I am really sorry because they are two great people and two great players but the policy of Brighton is like this. "It is right that they can leave, they can play at a higher level.

"People believe Alexis is a fantastic player, but as a man he is better than the player I'm really sorry if we lose him if we lose Moises Caicedo, but players like this deserve to play at another level, another level in terms of competition, in terms of the importance of the club, the prestige of the club."

Declan Rice is one of the midfielders Arsenal is most interested in, among other targets as they look to replace the outgoing Granit Xhaka.
