Despite a dominant start to the game, the Bundesliga champions had to wait until around the half-hour mark to find the opener when Felix Udokhai turned the ball into his own net.
Harry Kane made it two in the 40th minute of the game when Joshua Kimmich was fouled in the box. The England international stepped up and made no mistake in getting the ball past Finn Gilbert Dahmen and into the net.
Alphonso Davies' delivery found Kane in the 69th minute, and the former Tottenham striker finished with aplomb to make it three, his second of the game.
