Uganda's Leading paint brand, Kansai Plascon, has announced a financial boost towards Buddu FC ahead of the Masaza Cup final.
The one year sponsorship package worth USD 20,000 is to help Buddu FC prepare to defend their Masaza Cup title.
While speaking at the unveiling on Tuesday morning at the Kansai Plascon offices, the national sales manager Moses Kato stressed that they wanted to associate with the Masaza brand and Buddu FC, which attracts enormous crowds.
"We are giving Buddu USD 20,000. USD 10,000 will be cash while the rest will be used in branding and Marketing the Buddu FC brand," he noted before adding.
"We believe this is a timely boost towards Buddu FC's charge to win a third Masaza Cup title."
Buddu FC forward Bruno Bunyaga, who has managed seven goals en route to the final, was equally ecstatic about the financial boost and stated it's motivation enough to win another title.
"I am thankful to Kansai Plascon for this financial boost, it goes a long way into motivating us as a team, and we shall do our best to make sure we win the final."
The Masaza Cup is a competition that brings together Buganda's 18 counties as they vie for the top prize.
The tournament has produced players like Titus Ssematimba, Frank Ssebuufu, Filbert Obenchan, Mustafa Mujuzi, and Owen Baba Kasule, to mention but a few.
The 2023 final will feature Buddu FC against Busiro FC and will take place on March 4th 2023, at the Muteesa II stadium in Wankulukuku.
