Newly signed URA FC forward Bruno Bunyaga can't wait to get going at his new home when the time comes.

Bunyaga, who joined URA on a two-year contract from Bushenyi Veterans in the January window, shared with Pulse Sports why he decided to join the tax collectors.

"Personally joining URA was a big achievement because they are one of the biggest clubs in Ugandan football," he noted before adding.

"So I think they will help me fulfil my targets in my football career, and if I work hard, I will be able to go professional."

Bunyaga agrees that the team has been struggling for form but says he is ready to hit the ground running to help in any way possible.

"The team hasn't been performing well, but we shall turn the corner; I also want to give my best, especially in the second round, because we still have several games where I can score several goals."

The 19-year-old is a product of the Pepsi University Football League and the Masaza Cup, competitions he has paid homage to and urged sponsors to support because of the availability of talented youngsters.

"I am grateful to the people who run these competitions and sponsor them (the UFL and Masaza Cup) because those platforms help young players like me to be identified. My cry is to have as many sponsors because it motivates the players to perform well."

Bunyaga scored seven goals for Buddu Ssaza en route to the Masaza Cup final where they will play Busiro Ssaza at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku on March 4th. Buddu are bidding to defend the title and win it for the third time in history.
