The Venoms enter the game off the back of two league stalemates to Gaddafi FC (0-1) and Soltilo Bright Stars FC (1-1).

The club has also been rocked by the recent back-and-forth of reports regarding uncertainties on the future of head coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi.

Vipers also come into the game fifth on the log with 32 points but with three games in hand over the 20 played by the majority of the teams.

Meanwhile, the Kitende side beat Iganga Young FC 3-0 in the Uganda Cup last time out, thanks to Karim Watambala, Mohamed Salem and Fazil Tumwine.

When Vipers hosted Wakiso Giants in the first round, a Yunus Sentamu goal and a Watambala brace were enough to see the former smile to a 3-0 victory.

It's also important to note that the champions are unbeaten in the league against Wakiso Giants, playing nine times and winning four, while the other five ended in stalemates
