Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has shuffled the pack for the derby, making six changes to the side that beat Fulham on Sunday.

Mohamed Salah, Alexis Mac Allister and Darwin Nunez returned to the starting line-up, as do Dominik Szoboszlai, Curtis Jones and Ibrahima Konate with Jota missing out due to injury.

Liverpool started the game brightly but it was Everton who looked more dangerous from their set pieces.

The first goal came in the 27th minute when Jarrad Branthwaite poked home from close range after the Reds defence missed a couple of chances to clear the danger.

After the goal, Liverpool pushed forward for the equaliser but missed a lot of chances to level the game in the first half before the halftime whistle.
