The Football Kenya Federation Premier League resumes with Gor Mahia aiming to extend their lead as bottom placed Nzoia Sugar aim to register their fifth win of the season.

Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) actions will resume over the weekend after a week-long break.

The league took a break to allow teams - AFC Leopards, Kenya Police, Kariobangi Sharks, Kakamega Homeboyz and Sofapaka to participate in the FKF Cup but now the focus shifts back to the Premier League.

On Saturday, May 4 the action kicks off with KCB hosting Kariobangi Sharks in South while Muhoroni Youth takes on Bidco United in Muhoroni.

The highlight of the day will be Gor Mahia battling Muranga Seal. Gor Mahia who are enjoying a nine-point lead will aim to extend their advantage and solidify their position at the top of the table.

Meanwhile, Shabana and Sofapaka will clash at the Dandora Stadium in what promises to be an exciting encounter.

On Sunday, Nairobi City Stars will take on Ulinzi Stars in an early kick-off at Dandora Stadium. Kakamega Homeboyz, who were eliminated from the FKF Cup, will host Police at the Mumias Sports Complex. Police, currently third in the table, will be keen to secure maximum points and close the gap on Gor Mahia.

AFC Leopards will be at Nyayo Stadium to play Bandari. The Dockers, aiming to maintain their position in the top four, will be wary of a defeat. Leopards, on the other hand, will be buoyed by their recent form and will look to secure a victory.

In the fourth game set for Sunday Posta Rangers will tackle FC Talanta. Rangers, currently struggling at the half of the table, will be hoping for a much-needed win.

On Monday, Tusker will play Nzoia Sugar at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. The Brewers will be looking to secure three points and keep the pressure on Gor Mahia.

Nzoia Sugar are facing an imminent chop and will be desperate for a win although it may not be enough to save them from relegation.
