Vipers SC appointed Brazilian tactician, Leonard Martins Neiva, popularly known as Leo Neiva as the new head coach taking over from Alex Isabirye.

And, trusted sources at the club have intimated a monthly salary in the region of $7,200 (about Shs 26 million).

While the amount is unconfirmed, it's believed it ranks higher than what the other coaches in the league earn.

KCCA FC's Sergio Daniel Moniz Traguil and SC Villa's Dusan Stojanovic are also believed to be on big paychecks.

Neiva is a former coach at Tanzania's Young Africans SC, where he won both the Super Cup (the Community Shield) and the 2014/15 Tanzania Premier League.

He has also had coaching roles at America CF, Platinum Stars, Bonsucesso-RJ, Yadanarborn FC and at Rakhine United between 2011-2012.

Neiva also worked at Associacao Atletica Francana, Montego Bay United, the Saint Kitts and Nevis national team.

Between 2021 to 2022, he worked at Sudan and CECAFA region heavyweights Al-Merrikh but was sacked after just 51 days, without managing an official game.
