Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, is Express FC's known home, but recently the management has taken decisions against them.

With the Red Eagles set to host SC Villa in the Uganda Premier League on March 4, the pending Masaza Cup final between Buddu Ssaza and Busiro Ssaza was also placed on the same day at Wankulukuku.

Eventually, the Kampala Derby was rescheduled for March 5 because there was no way Kalibala was going to tell the Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi that the venue was not available.

"This is Muteesa II Stadium, and it is self-explanatory that when the King decides to appear before his people on any particular date, any other event is automatically canceled," the stadium manager Flavia Kalibala told Pulse Sports.

"There is no way you can tell the King that Express is going to play; that is impossible," Kalibala noted.

Away from the Masaza Cup final, the latest development indicates that Express will host Lugazi United FC in Round 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup in Luzira instead of Wankulukuku.

"This is Express' home, but we only have their SUPL fixture, and we follow and respect it only for the case of the Masaza Cup final, which is understandable to everyone."

"About the Uganda Cup, it is not in our plan because it happens abruptly except if the stadium is free."

Kalibala stated: "But in this scenario, it is a shame that it was already booked for another occasion which I will not reveal."

There was a request from the club to have the game against Lugazi also rescheduled just like the one against Villa, but FUFA declined it.

And that is how the joint record holders of the Uganda Cup decided to look for an alternative venue, Luzira.
