"We wish to declare that we realised 17.6 million shillings from gate collections," Kitara revealed.

"The money will be used in supporting club activities as planned in our 2023/2024 budget," the club added.

The club has also made it public knowledge that their defender Benjamin Nyakoojo, who won the Man of the Match award, received 100,000 shillings from their partner K-Royal Court.

Kitara have built some of the most loyal supporters in the league, who have always been behind their team in the lighter and the darker days.

It was the second successive win after their opening day 2-1 triumph over record holders SC Villa at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

They sit third on the log with six points in two games, behind Vipers SC and NEC FC, who are ahead by difference.

The Pride of Bunyoro will visit strugglers Gaddafi Football Club in their next match on September 28 at the Gaddafi Arena.
