Livingstone Mbabazi promotes another youngster to Vipers senior team

Nsereko has been a member of the club's main feeder team, St Mary's Secondary School, Kitende (SMASK), a side he helped to both the National and East African Schools' Championships.

Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have added to their striking armoury with the promotion of young forward Abdul Nsereko.

He has signed his first senior team contract with the Venoms, which will tie him at the club for the next three years.

Nsereko has been a member of the club's main feeder team, St Mary's Secondary School, Kitende (SMASK), a side he helped to both the National and East African Schools' Championships.

He was the top scorer in the national competition, bagging eleven goals and scooped the Golden Boot in the event that was held in Fort Portal.

He joins days after his SMASK teammate Fazil Tumwine got elevated to the team.

The two helped SMASK clinch the East African championships after beating Amus College 4-2 via penalty shootouts following a one-all draw at full-time.

Records at the school indicate he bagged a massive 22 goals in 24 appearances in the various schools' competitions, dating back to 2022.

At the national team, he has featured at the U18 and U20 levels.

Nsereko joins a long list of players who have recently been elevated from the school to the team, including Tumwine, Frank Katongole, Jack Komakech, Enock Luyima, Abubakali Walusimbi, and Rogers Torach, among others."We are getting all points," -
