KCCA lost eight games in just 15 matches, winning just six and drawing the other, much to the boiling frustration of their faithful.
Many turned against the team, the administrators, coaches and players, while others cursed and cast insults during match days.

KCCA include Kankonde in 34-man second round squad
It was indicated that Kankonde's disappearance stemmed from the gangly forward's misunderstanding with former head coach Sergio Traguil about his lack of playing time.
Fortunes have since turned under new tactician Abdallah Mubiru, who has underlined his own frustrations to the fans for not sticking with the team in the good and bad.

"The second round is more challenging and competitive than the first. So expect it to be that given the situation we are in," said Mubiru.
