His first-ever appearance for the side came less than a week since he joined the side, having left the country a fortnight back.

Former Vipers SC winger Abdu Lumala completed his debut with Croatian top-tier side NK Slaven Belupo Koprivnica.

Lumala was named in the first eleven as Slaven Belupo defeated NK Olimpija Ljubljana 1-0 in a friendly bout on Saturday.

Croatian native Ante Suto netted the sole goal to make Lumala's debut a positive one, as he donned "Shirt 99."

His first-ever appearance for the side came less than a week since he joined the side having left the country a fortnight back.

At the time of his departure, he had only  spent one and a half seasons in Uganda as he won both the Uganda Premier League and the Uganda Cup last campaign with Vipers.

Lumala is expected to make his competitive debut on Friday as Slaven Belupo visits fifth-placed Osijek in Croatian HNL (Super League) .

About Slaven Belupo Koprivnica

The club trades in the Croatian SuperSport HNL, which is the topflight league of the country's football structure.

They currently sit eighth on the 10-team table, having accumulated 27 points in as many points.

Rijeka, Hadjuk Split and Dynamo Zagreb sit first, second and third with 59, 55 and 54 points, respectively.

Slaven Belupo was birthed 117 years back in 1907 and hosts its games at Gradski Stadion Ivan Kusek-Apas.
