FWSL Lutalo doubts Kampala Queens' perfection

Will Kampala Queens WFC complete the season perfectly? That is undoubtedly the only big question left as they edge closer to the FUFA Women's Super League title each game day that passes.

The Queens of soccer have won all 11 games they have played so far, but with seven to go until the end of the season, head coach Hamza Lutalo does not think his girls will do a perfect season.

"I doubt whether we shall be able to win all the 18 games because after winning 11, you can see teams are trying to come all out to make an effort against us," Lutalo said in an interview with Pulse Sports.

"During the last two games, we have won but did not play well as we did in most of the first round, showing a drop in energy."

"The first half of the games against Asubo Gafford and She Corporate were difficult, but we managed to fight for three points in the second half."

Lutalo noted: "I would want us to win all the games, but realistically, it will be difficult. However, we shall try as much as we can to ensure that we finish the season unbeaten. For that we shall give it a push."

The former Uganda U17 National Team head coach also thinks that Kampala Queens have found themselves lucky not to have a close competitor.

"Last season, Corporate won the title on the last day of the season, but this season, the teams that should have put up a fight are not doing well, so the luck is on our side.

"The second and third-placed teams, Uganda Martyrs and UCU, respectively, are not winning as much, which is an indicator that it is our season," Lutalo stated.

Last season's runners-up are in touching distance of their first FWSL title, given that they are on 33 points, 14 clear of Uganda Martyrs, who are in the second position with 19 points.
