But to do this, he has asked for cooperation from his players and club management as he takes over from long-serving tactician Angelo Lonyesi.
“Police is a club that belongs to the top-flight, so our job is to take it back there,” Mugerwa said after the confirmation.
He added: “The target is hard, but we have to work hand in hand with the players and management to achieve the target. We added some experienced players who are motivated to take the team to the Uganda Premier League, where some have played before.”
The coach has been working with the club since the end of last season and has been involved in the whole recruitment and preseason exercise.
