Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic has named the Uganda Cranes team to face Algeria in the 2023 AFCON qualifier MD5.

Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has named his final 23-man squad that will face Algeria in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations match day five qualifier on Sunday 18th June, at the Japoma Stadium in Douala, Cameroon.

The team has undergone a low-key training session ahead of the crucial encounter that they must win to keep their hopes of qualifying to the Ivory Coast finals alive.

Among the notable faces who have been dropped include Danish-based midfielder Moses Opondo and goalkeeper Ismail Watenga who plays for Marumo Gallants in South Africa.

Uganda sits third in Group F with four points, the same as Tanzania, who are second and one more than Niger.
