Simba wa Nairobi striker Vincent Owino is aiming for double-digit goals with seven matches left to end of the 2023/2024 FKF Premier League season.

Nairobi City Stars striker Vincent Owino is aiming high as he sets his sights on reaching double digits in goals scored by the end of the season.

With seven matches remaining in the league campaign, Owino, the current top scorer for Simba wa Nairobi, has expressed his determination to increase his goal tally and close the gap on the league's leading scorers.

"We still have a number of games to go and I am more than determined to grab more goals and catch up with those at the top," Owino stated optimistically as per club portal.

"It’s been a few months down the line since I scored but that will soon change," he added.

Owino, who has been twice named match MVP this season, has been instrumental for Nairobi City Stars, leading their attacking line with seven goals to his name.

His most recent goal came in February during an away fixture against Bandari, securing a crucial victory for his team and confirming a double over the Dockers.

His other notable goals include strikes against Sofapaka, Shabana, AFC Leopards, Kariobangi Sharks (brace), and Ulinzi Stars.

Despite currently trailing behind the league's top scorers, Owino remains confident in his ability to make an impact in the remaining fixtures.

Gor Mahia's Benson Omalala leads the charts with 12 goals, tied with Tito Okello of Kenya Police, while Eric Kapaito follows closely behind with 10 goals.

Francis Kahiro of Bandari and Austtin Odhiambo of Gor Mahia complete the top five with nine and eight goals respectively.
