Ghana's Black Stars failed to register a first win after serving a four-goal thriller with Egypt in Group B at the AFCON 2023 prompting Asisat Oshoala's reaction.

Nigerian football sensation Asisat Oshoala ignited laughter on Twitter with a playful prayer to declare oper the cooking of the Ghana national team after their draw against Egypt at the AFCON 2023

Mohammed Kudus netted a brilliant brace as the Black Stars led twice but let Egypt back into the game following a 2-2 draw in their second match in Group B on Thursday night.

Egypt vs Ghana

A masterclass performance from Ghana’s star man Kudus was not enough to secure victory against Egypt at the AFCON 2023.

Up against the Pharaohs, who lost their main man, Mohamed Salah after just 45 minutes, Ghana took a shock lead when Kudus rifled home a stunner from outside the box in first-half-added time.

However, a defensive error allowed Egypt to equalise in the 69th minute to make it 1-1.

The 22-year-old West Ham star struck again, two minutes after Egypt’s leveller to restore Ghana’s lead only for Mostafa Mohamed to draw the Pharaohs level again three minutes later in dramatic style.

Oshoala reacts

Following another match in which the Ghanaians have dropped points, FC Barcelona star, Oshoala, took to her social media account to declare open the cooking of Ghana.

“We start this banter in the name of the father …..lead us as we embark on this sweet aromatic cooking ….Amen,” she posted on X, setting the tone for a lively exchange of words between supporters of the two African powerhouses.
