Photos: Rwanda's magnificent Amahoro Stadium closer to completion, set for opening
Rwanda continues to take a leading hand in sports infrastructural development in the East African region with their resolute and committed investment in sports tourism.
Already boasting the magnificent BK Arena, Rwanda is currently a major face-lift of the prestigious Amahoro Stadium from a 25,000 to 45,000 seater.
Construction works have been ongoing since August 2022 with the purpose of turning it into an ultra-modern facility.
The stadium is set to foster sports development (majorly football) as well as sports tourism in the country.
The latest updates from Rwanda's media outlets indicate that the stadium is 85% done, with the inauguration set for mid-year.
The Rwandan government is deliberate about developing sports, as it was recently revealed that the 2025 Legends Club World Cup will be hosted in the country.
Rwanda also has lucrative endorsement and sponsorship deals with global powerhouses, including English side Arsenal and France's PSG.
