Alex Isabirye (Vipers SC/Express FC)

A sudden turn of events towards the start of the season witnessed Isabirye's departure from Vipers, months after guiding them to their maiden domestic double.

It was reported that the club had plans of making Isabirye an assistant to a foreign coach who was set to be hired. Isabirye walked away and to-date, the club has yet to release a statement regarding the matter.

Months after his exit at Vipers, he took over at Express towards the end of the year (2023), a stint that lasted just three months as he left over financial constraints at the club.

Sergio Daniel Moniz Traguil (KCCA FC)

After a series of poor results, coupled with losing his dressing room, Portuguese tactician Sergio Traguil was sacked as KCCA head coach.

Appointed in June, fired in October: Such was his stint at Lugogo. For the first time in a very long time, KCCA languished in the relegation zone for months.

Abdallah Mubiru has since taken over on a permanent basis.

James Odoch (Express FC)

His exit came as a shock to many, as Express had been performing fairly well at the time, given the financial difficulties and questionable top management that engulfed the club.

Leonardo Martins Neiva (Vipers SC)

Neiva was shown the exit door at Kitende after a series of unconvincing results in the league.

The club had weeks back exited from the CAF Champions League in the first preliminary round at the hands of the low-ranked Jwaneng Galaxy of Botswana.

Fred Muhumuza (Interim - URA FC)

Following the demise of head coach Sam Timbe, his deputy Fred Muhumuza took over in the interim and performed well in the few games he oversaw.

However, he was asked to step aside as he paved way for David Obua, who penned down a one-year contract.

Charles Livingstone Mbabazi (Arua Hill SC/ Vipers SC)

After a difficult period at Arua Hill SC, where the club struggled financially and for results, Mbabazi exited both as head coach and self-proclaimed majority shareholder.

He took over at Vipers in January, a stint that didn't go beyond the first week of April.

His departure was far from failure to deliver results, but rather, reported indiscipline.

David Obua (URA FC)

The latest victim of the axe was hired in November 2023 and fired in April 2024, a five-month spell.

While many reported results as the primary reason for his exit, others have put it to the behind-the-scenes unpleasant working conditions with the top honchos.
