Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly fork-out a healthy sum for sacking Christophe Galtier.

Paris Saint-Germain announced that they would be terminating the contract of manager Christophe Galtier a year before its expiration date after a tumultuous season.

The former Lille boss is set for significant compensation after the sack, and the numbers have been revealed.

PSG to pay Galtier

According to Le Parisien, negotiations have begun between both parties over the termination of his contract; however, he is set to receive €6 million, which is lower than what his salary would have been if he stayed on next season.

Although Galtier delivered the league title for PSG, the second in his career after winning with Lille, Les Parisiens' form after the World Cup and the way in which they crashed out of the Champions League cost him his job.

The Ligue 1 champions are already working on a replacement, and Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann have been mentioned as options.

The former Bayern boss, however, is seen as a front-runner and is expected to be announced soon.

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe has reportedly informed PSG he will not be triggering the extension on his contract. This means they will have to sell him this summer or lose him for free.
