Desperate for a comeback victory which will be their first in history, ISBAT University will have to be at their absolute best to fend off opposition from Kampala University on Wednesday, in the Pepsi University Football League.

However, ISBAT head coach Edwin Oundo is optimistic his side will turn events around following their initial defeat to Bishop Stuart.

ISBAT was given a rude welcome to the league by Bishop Stuart University who beat them 3-1 in Mbarara but Oundo is confident that they will have a much better outing against Kampala University.

“It’s sad that we lost the game but we have not lost hope. We are going to work on the few issues that went wrong where we lost concentration and focus,” Oundo told the media.

“We’ve had ample time to prepare for this game and our aim is to get all three points from the game to improve our chances of making it to the knockout stage. A draw will not be good enough,” Oundo added.

Meanwhile, Kampala University head coach Vincent Tumusiime Vincent has cautioned his players against complacency and taking ISBAT for granted.

He is certain his side will pick up a second successive win, after their initial 2-1 victory over Bishop Stuart.

"We can’t take any team for granted. We know we have to play our best football. We won't take anything lightly despite them being debutants in the league, they can surprise you. We just have to have consistency and a continuation,” Tumusiime said.

“We can take confidence from the first game but today it’s a different ball game and every game is tough from now on. The boys have to be focused,” Tumusiime added

While Kampala University lie second by three points in Group E, ISBAT rocks the bottom with no point.

Meanwhile, Bishop Stuart top proceedings with three points and a better goal difference than Kampala University.
