Now renowned for music, Rickman, the son of former KCCA FC player and current UEFA A' license holder Patrick Kabuye, defended his father's ideas on football development in the country.

Former football player Derrick Ddungu, alias Rickman Manrick, has ridiculed FUFA President Moses Magogo after the latter mocked the former's father's football ideas.

Now renowned for music, Rickman, the son of former KCCA FC player and current UEFA A' license holder Patrick Kabuye, defended his father's ideas on football development in the country.

Kabuye, while appearing on NBS Sport, stressed the need for the grooming of under-age football as the core for the development of football.

He also proposed identifying talents based on tribal abilities earlier while nurturing talents and finding an identity.

"They should be identified at as young as 13 years old, have a U14 national team," Kabuye said to NBS Sport.

"Fullbacks should be fast and endurance people; what tribes in Uganda should we get those players? This is how you develop a philosophy."

"Central defenders should be fast, tall and well-built; defensive midfielders should be hardworking; what tribe should we get them," he added.

Magogo has since laid question marks over these ideas on his X handle; "the public should be protected from such broadcast."

"From 'only former players should be coaches' to tribes for positions on the lineup," Magogo added in disbelief.

Meanwhile, in the midst, FUFA on Thursday announced the coaches for the national U15 Boys' team, with Hamza Lutalo appointed the head coach.

Upon the appointments, Rickman did not hesitate to laugh at the people who doubted his father's ideas, yet they still quickly implemented them.

"After the sports show on NBS Sport, FUFA has now put up the U15 team for the boys," he said on his X handle.

"Now I advise FUFA to put up the U15 girls' team as well since you pretend not to take advice from professionals."

"A good leader listens and gives credit as well," the 'Beautiful Mami' hitmaker stung as he summed.

Meanwhile, it should be noted that while the U15 Boys' team hasn't been active, it has existed before and are even the CECAFA Cup defending champions, having cliched it in 2019.
