Pulse Sports Nigeria can report that the African legend has responded to the latest viral posts circulating this week which claimed that the former Barcelona forward would hang up her boots after the next Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

Oshoala, who is 31, was part of the Super Falcons team that made history by lifting a record-extending 10th WAFCON title back in Morocco.

However, days after the Super Falcons defeated the Benin Republic on aggregate to pick a ticket for the 2026 edition, which will also be held in Morocco, social media was awash with the report that the Saudi Arabia-based star had decided to call it quits after the tournament.

But according to the reliable women’s football expert, Samuel Ahmadu, the celebrated Manchester United fan is going nowhere.

“Nigeria star Asisat Oshoala has dismissed the false reports making the rounds, confirming to me that she never made such statements and is not considering retirement any time soon,” he posted on his official account.
