After dazzling on the field and playing a pivotal role in securing Nigeria's spot in the semi-finals, Simon seized the moment to address the nation.

"I am really happy about the victory against Angola and I feel very happy because the win is for Nigerians. You can be a Man-of-the-Match and your team loses the game," he reflected, underscoring the collective spirit that drives the Super Eagles.

His message was clear: the support from home is crucial, and the team thrives on it. "I really appreciate the support Nigerians have given to the Super Eagles and they should keep supporting us," Simon added.

In the same breath, Simon shed light on Victor Osimhen's mindset throughout the tournament. Despite bagging a goal and an assist in five matches—a tally that might seem modest for a striker of his caliber—Osimhen's focus is laser-sharp on the bigger picture.

"The atmosphere is good in the team. Osimhen is thinking about winning, not just scoring," Simon shared. This insight into Osimhen's mentality reveals a player who prioritizes team success over personal glory, a testament to the unity and determination that define the current squad.

"If he gets a chance to score he will take it, but he's focused on the team's victory first," Simon continued, painting a picture of a squad united in their quest for continental supremacy.
