In a shocking development, Nigerian Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa's event centre has been engulfed in flames.
The multi-million-naira facility, located in Karji, Chikun local government area of Kaduna State, suffered this misfortune while Musa was away, representing the national team at the 2024 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in CĂ´te d'Ivoire.
A fire breaks out near a welding shop
According to reports by the Nigerian Tribune, the fire was said to have originated from a welding shop close to the event centre. This unfortunate incident led to significant damage to parts of the premises.
However, thanks to the prompt action of neighbours who swiftly intervened, the fire was eventually contained. Their quick response prevented further destruction and potentially saved lives.
The event centre, known for being a popular relaxation spot, attracted numerous fun-seekers from various parts of the state.
A local resident, Musa Dangiwa, expressed his gratitude towards the Super Eagles skipper for establishing the centre, "We are happy with the Super Eagle skipper for creating the relaxation centre in our midst."
