Yamal on Ballon d'Or
Barcelona's rising star Lamine Yamal granted an exclusive interview to "Mundo Deportivo," via Abola, discussing a variety of topics.
"I talk to him quite a bit. He instils a lot of confidence in me and tells me to enjoy myself, be brave, and not lose the essence of my game. That gives me a lot of peace of mind when I step onto the field.
"It would be a dream, of course. The Ballon d'Or is one of the greatest accolades a footballer can receive. If I win it, I'll definitely celebrate with my family and friends, who have been with me every step of the way.
"Winning the Ballon d'Or at 18 would be incredible, but if it doesn't happen now, I'll continue to work hard to improve every day.
In other news, Barcelona have ruled Yamal out of their UEFA Champions League clash against Newcastle due to injury.
