They initially offered €10 million, then €15 million, and finally €21 million, but the Rossoneri remained firm on their €25 million valuation.

Chelsea have now withdrawn their interest in Maignan, who has only one year remaining on his contract with Milan.

The Stamford Bridge club had hoped to secure the French international's services in time for the Club World Cup, but recognizing the deal's unlikelihood, they have opted to move on.

Meanwhile, Chelsea continue negotiations with Borussia Dortmund for winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.

While little progress has been made, unlike the Maignan situation, Chelsea are not operating under a tight deadline and are willing to continue discussions with Dortmund, hoping for a positive outcome.
