English club Chelsea have given the greenlight for defender Dujon sterling to leave the club this summer.

Dujon and the club have reached an agreement that will see the youngster swap London for Scotland.

Dujon Sterling made only one senior appearance at Chelsea.

The Scottish club are said to have beaten a host of other clubs to the signature of the 23-year-old, with the move subjected to the player passing his medical.

Sterling to join Rangers

According to a report from the Standard, the defender will be reunited with his former boss at Stamford Bridge, Michael Beale at the Gers.

The move will see Sterling end his 15-year stay with the Blues as he looks to make the Ibrox his new home.

He joined the London club at the tender age of eight before walking his way through the ranks at the club’s famous academy in Cobham.

However, his Chelsea career has not been a smooth sail for the young defender, who has had to fight a mystery mental illness during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Sterling previously impressed at Chelsea in pre-season under Thomas Tuchel in 2021, raising hopes that he could make it at the club.

But he is now set to depart Stamford Bridge having made just one senior appearance for Chelsea, aged 17 in a League Cup match against Nottingham Forest in 2017.
